Tourism, opportunities and landmarks

When visiting Stonehaven, there are a few stops to check out before you can tick off the town or move on. But, be warned, you may end up staying a lot longer than intended!

First off, you need to make a stop off at the Chapel of St. Mary and St. Nathalan. This is a beautiful stop off in the town and certainly worth the stop. In fact, you’ll be amazed by the view over the North Sea. This is a spot which Stonehaven on Video is hoping to capture. So, if you have a video clip or picture – we’d love to insert it here. Send it our way and we’ll upload it to our site to show our visitors how fantastic this spot really is. Almost better than playing Thai sunrise game online – a site we’re all of the creatives at this site are very much into at the moment!

Next, you should head over to Dunnottar Castle – check out our page on this site. The ruins of the fortress are certainly worth checking out for anyone who is new to Stonehaven. This is a spot which us, videographers, are very interested in!

For those museum lovers, the best option is the Tolbooth Museum. The museum is located at 3 Old Pier, Stonehaven AB39 2JU, UK. This is a great spot for those who love fish – in fact, it’s a lovely museum – even though there are only two rooms BUT these rooms have a huge amount for you to check over. What’re you waiting for? Add it to your list of places to visit when you come to Stonehaven.

The next stop for tourists is the Stonehaven War Memorial. The atmosphere at this memorial is fantastic and the area is beautiful. It’s certainly worth a visit to respect those who lost their lives in the war. The view is very peaceful and calming, overlooking the beautiful yet turbulent sea. Spend some time here alone to clear your thoughts and take in the thought provoking atmosphere.

Our favourite, and very accessible, tourist spot is the Stonehaven Harbour. Here, you’ll be able to check out the boats of those visiting the town. You’ll also be able to enjoy the sea view and eat the diving food in the area. When you need a meal to enjoy, there will be something for you to sample – try the fish, of course! After food, sit and enjoy a drink with the wonderful view!
